I know we went over the quiz in class, but I am still confused about the Nilsson Diagram. In the lecture, you chose that a certain deformation was positive or negative and then whether it was prolate or oblate (respectively). Then in class we said that since you don't know which side of the 0 it is on you can not tell what type of deformation it was...but all the lines pass through zero. So how do you decide whether it is a positive or negative deformation?
